What information do we collect?
We collect the personal information you give us (such as your name, address, email address and telephone number) when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest, create a Wishlist or Registry list, sign up for the newsletter etc. We collect this information, so we can fulfil your order and offer the best service we can.
When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer's internet protocol (IP) address, in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browsers and operating system, so we can offer the best possible shopping experience for you.
We do not automatically collect your email address to send you newsletters. You will have to opt in to receive newsletters about our store, new products, offers and other updates. You can opt out at any time by selecting 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of the newsletter.
When you place an order we do automatically send you the following emails: order confirmation, shipping confirmation, parcel reminder email. You cannot opt out of receiving these emails, they are part of the order process.
Three months after your most recent order we send you an email to show you some new items in the shop. You can opt out of this email by sending a reply email with 'opt out' in the subject bar.
If you have added items to your cart but haven't gone through to the payment process, we will save your cart and send you a reminder email after one day, and a 'cart expiry' email after 2 days. (Saving the cart for you doesn't mean the items are reserved for you) You can opt out of these emails by sending a reply email with 'opt out' in the subject bar.
How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, return a purchase, create a gift registry, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we are required by law to do so, we may disclose your personal information. However we will never disclose your private information to any third party.
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with an excellent and safe online e-commerce platform, that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify's data storage, databases and the general Shopify application.They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
Shopify stores your creditcard data when you choose to complete your purchase through the direct payment gateway Stripe.
Paypal stores your payment data if you choose to complete your payment through Paypal.
It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.
Both direct payment gateway Stripe and Paypal adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
In general, third-party providers, like the payment gateways and certain apps we use to provide you with services like 'Gift registry', 'Wishlist', or 'Back in stock', will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extend necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
For these providers we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
When you click on links on our store or blog, they may direct you away from our site. we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements. We will never, knowingly, provide you with a link to an unsafe site.
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practises to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your creditcard information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

_session_id, unique token, sessional. Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page etc) that might be useful for us.
_shopify_visit, no data held, persistant for 30 minutes from the last visit. Used by our website provider's internal stats tracker to record number of visits.
_shopify_unique, no data held, expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day. Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
cart, unique token, persistent for 2 weeks. Stores information about the contents of your cart.
_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional
